You said you reflected "a broad spectrum of community feedback" about SpaceX in the latest newsletter. Instead, I read two overreacting and wildly incorrect letters about the so-called “danger” of the SpaceX program. There was nothing to reflect the much more common feeling of SpaceX being an exciting, revolutionary project that will do the island an enormous amount of good.
The two letters you posted reminded me of the attitude of people's reactions to the first introduction of the train or the motor car with dire warnings that these things will kill us if we use them.
My family and I are also very eco-conscious, but the wild overreaction of some people on the island is difficult to swallow. Significantly, as SpaceX hasn't damaged any part of the island, their only crime is to make some windows rattle about three times a year.
The SpaceX launches are the most astounding moments of my life, so the people ranting about the imagined “potential” damage, really wind me up.
This is history in the making right here on the island, but all some people are bothered about is scaremongering nonsense.
