City Opens Applications for SPI Boards

South Padre Island is looking for volunteers to join City boards and committees.

Your participation is crucial, whether you're experienced or new to civic service. Step forward with your vision, dedication, and commitment to shape our community's future.

This role is your chance to address issues, propose solutions, and connect with residents. To get involved, submit your application to City Secretary Angelique Soto at City Hall (4601 Padre Blvd.) via email, fax, or in person.

Community, Stay Informed:

Residents, your role is equally pivotal. Stay informed about board meetings and the issues at stake. Attend candidate forums and City meetings (available online), participate in discussions, and exercise your right as the collective voice of our community.

• Board of Adjustments & Appeals
• Board of Ethics
  • (Cannot serve on any other board or committee)
• Convention & Visitors Advisory Board 
  • (Must be in the Entertainment, Hotel/Condo, Technical Industries)
• Development Standards Review Task Force
• Economic Development Corporation
• Parks & Keeps SPI Beautiful Committee
• Planning & Zoning Committee
• Shoreline Task Force
• Special Events Committee 
  • (Must be in the tourism, hospitality, and events industry)
