December 2023 General Membership Meeting Minutes

Call to order 9:11 am
Welcome new members and attendees. Without you there is no GCBA.
Approval of November minutes - Natalie T 1st, Sue Bellows support - minutes approved
Since this is our last meeting of the year, and we are celebrating the holidays, we served a continental breakfast and raffled a gift basket door prize, created by Elaine Salter of Elaine’s Gift Baskets. Congratulations Mike Lawrence for winning the prize!
Treasury report:
Beginning balance $7320.95, Expenses $455.66, Income $250.00, Ending balance $7115.29.
Please let Joe know anytime you want to review the books and he will make them available to you. Treasury report approved and filed.
The election results for the 2024 board were announced: Jackie Perrydore, President, Joe Bartley, Treasurer, Trustee Sharon Hassett, Trustee Lisa Clark. Not on the ballot this year and will retain their positions through 2024 - Mike Walker Vice President, Elaine Salter Secretary, Kim Dold Trustee.
Jackie, Joe & Sharon would like to thank all who voted for them and entrusted them to serve on the board. Lisa also thanked everyone live via Facebook.
We introduced our new Bizzbee photo op that will be present at all 3 music in the park dates this year. Anyone having a grand opening or special event and would like to have the Bizzbee Beetle there, please let a board member know and we will have it available for you.
Member spotlight:
Joe Bartley / J & J Taxes & More has moved. Their new office is at 30900 Ford Road, Ste G.
Grand opening / ribbon cutting will be on January 15 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Food and refreshments will be served.
Sue Bellows, Plymouth Canton AAUW - this organization promotes women’s rights and education. They have a children’s play every year held at O’Leary Auditorium. This year’s play will be Cinderella.
Show times are February 1-2 7:00 pm, and February 3 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Tickets online are $7.00, or $10.00 at the door.

Mike Lawrence - Straight Farmhouse. The stunning Christmas display is there to see Wednesdays & Saturdays 12:00 - 3:00 pm. Both the Farmhouse and the Oddfellows are available for rent for all your special events. They will also be holding many crafting events throughout the year.
