The first City Council meeting of 2024 will have to wait another two weeks. The January 10th session was canceled. No official reason was given why.
City Council is amid a big upcoming special election with Seat 4 up for grabs. Lisa Graves, Brad Robinson, Tally Ragsdale, and Jennifer Stout are the candidates. This upcoming Monday, January 15th, a candidate forum with all four candidates will happen from 5:30-7 p.m. at the SPI Convention Centre. Island Matters will report the event and try to interview each candidate individually to help you decide on your vote. The next City Council meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 24th. |
