The Margaritaville Beach Resort at South Padre Island achieved success in its first nine months. The hotel secured a 6th-place ranking nationwide in the USA Today vote for the best new hotel, emanating a distinctive energy upon entry to the lobby. As Spring Break and the summer months rapidly approach, the hotel is gearing up to elevate its offerings, not only for visiting tourists but also for the local community.
Island Matters sat down with General Manager Daniel Haughan to discuss the excitement of hosting their first Spring Break and the opportunities emerging in the upcoming summer months as they embark on their first full year at South Padre Island.
When questioned about next week's plans, Haughan disclosed that a variety of activities are scheduled every day. Margaritaville will feature a DJ performing on a stage near the pool area, specifically at the swim-up bar pool, from 1-6 p.m., fostering a lively atmosphere for individuals seeking to soak up the sun or spend quality time with friends by the pool. The hotel has organized pool activities for guests' participation. Haughan emphasized their collaboration with multiple companies to bring in food and drink vendors for guests to enjoy throughout the day.
“We are trying to give our guests the full experience of staying here at Margaritaville,” Haughan said.
“Not only do we want them to enjoy the stay, but we want them to come back in the future.”
