The South Padre Island Police Department provided the following incidents from February 19th through March 1st, 2024.
2/19 - Around 6 p.m., officers responded to a call for assistance at a business situated on 1500 Gulf Blvd to address a person causing several disturbances. The individual left without incident, and authorities issued a criminal trespass warning.
2/23 - Around 4 p.m., officers responded to a verbal disturbance in the 4000 Block of Padre Boulevard. The reporting party, alleging that a female was making terroristic threats against them, came into contact with the officers. Following an investigation, the officers arrested the female.
2/23 - Around noon, a report came in about a theft on the 200 block of West Gardenia Street. Authorities gathered all available information from the incident, and the investigation is currently active.
2/24 - A female reporting party on the 100 block of W. Corral called an officer regarding a civil matter. The reporting party wanted to file a civil matter, so the officer gathered information and created a case number.
2/24 - Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 2600 block of Padre Boulevard shortly after midnight. The person responsible for the accident, identified as a juvenile and found to be intoxicated, was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.
2/25 - Officers attended to a domestic disturbance at 1004 Padre Boulevard. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had already left. Subsequently, officers obtained statements from the victim and a witness. The investigation is ongoing.
2/27 - A call led officers to 100 East Marlin Street concerning an intoxicated female subject. Following an investigation, officers arrested the female for public intoxication.
