The South Padre Island Police Department reported the following incidents from March 2nd through March 8th, 2024.
3/2 - On the same day, at about 10:36 a.m., officers were dispatched to 118 East Bahama Street for an open rear door alarm. Upon investigation, it was discovered that multiple subjects renting the house had accidentally set off the alarm.
3/2 - At approximately 1:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of assault at 2401 Laguna Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers obtained photographs of the victim, and the investigation is ongoing.
3/2 - Around 5:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to 1800 Padre Boulevard for a golf cart rollover crash. Following an investigation, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to control speed. Additionally, one male passenger was arrested for public intoxication.
3/2 - At approximately 7:38 p.m., officers responded to a physical disturbance between a male and a female subject at Whataburger on 3509 Padre Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located and arrested the male subject for having a county warrant, while the female subject was arrested for Public Intoxication. Both were transported to the South Padre Island city jail.
3/2 - In another incident, at approximately 7:54 p.m., officers responded to an EMS call at 2000 Gulf Boulevard (Aquarius). The complainant reported severe stomach pain and was transported to the hospital by South Padre Island Paramedics for further evaluation.
3/2 - At 11:27 p.m., officers were dispatched to 500 Padre Boulevard for an assault. Following an investigation, one female subject was found to have committed an assault offense.
3/2 - Later, at around 1:44 a.m., officers observed a physical disturbance at the 200 block of West Pike. While the parties involved did not want to press charges, a male subject displaying signs of intoxication was arrested and transported to the South Padre Island City Jail.
3/3 - Around 1:22 AM, officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Padre Boulevard for a theft. Upon arrival, officers found a male subject in possession of drug paraphernalia and subsequently arrested him. He was booked and processed at the South Padre Island City Jail.
