During public comments, members of the birding community voiced concerns about the potential impact of the Convention Center expansion on bird habitats. They emphasized the importance of preserving these habitats for tourism, particularly during birding migration season, which plays a significant role in the island's economy.
Victor Baldovinos, Environmental Health Director, announced a beach clean-up scheduled for Saturday, April 20th, at Beach Access #8, along with an Earth Day E-Waste Recycling Event at the SPI Community Center.

Architects Raymond Gignac and Kevin Gordon presented preliminary design ideas for the expansion, highlighting interior refurbishments and enhanced bay views.
