The South Padre Island Convention Center recently hosted its inaugural Crawfish Festival on Saturday, April 13th. Blake Henry, Executive Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), shared in a phone interview with Island Matters the overwhelming success of the event, drawing over 1,600 residents and tourists to support the spring festivities. The festival featured sixteen vendors, including eight food and eight non-food vendors, offering visitors a diverse array of options to savor the evening. Local favorite Tom and Jerry’s provided the delectable crawfish boil for attendees to enjoy. |
