May has arrived, and with it comes the opportunity for you to “plug into” the heart of Impact100 as your life allows. I want to remind everyone about the mission of Impact100 NWF, as our mission should be the guiding principle for all we do.
…to financially support nonprofit organizations in Okaloosa and Walton Counties by empowering women as philanthropists and leaders, by bridging the geographic areas of our region, and by leveraging the talents of diverse women to be a positive force for good in our communities. |

As a 2024 Member, you have provided the funds for grants that will transform the nonprofits who receive them in November. Take a moment to consider how powerful those $100,000 grants will be in our community and how the projects we vote to fund will shape our area for years to come. It gives me “chill bumps” to think about it, and I hope it does for you, too! This is the heart of Impact100 NWF—transforming our community one grant at a time.

Summer Events events@impactnwf.org—We can always use members to help us pull these members only events together (June, August & September—help with one or all—your choice)

Grant Finalist Reveal Party events@impactnwf.org—this event is where we announce and celebrate all our Grant Finalists. The date is set for October 28th.

Annual Meeting annualmeeting@impactnwf.org—This is our Big Give event and yearly membership meeting. There are many ways you can help pull this together, both in the planning and the execution of the biggest event of the year. The date is set for November 10th

Marketing/Communication communication@impactnwf.org—Do you have marketing skills, ideas, or experience you want to share?

Tech/Website techsupport@impactnwf.org—We are in the middle of a website “refresh” and hope to have the Mobile App onboarded by the end of the year. We could use your help if this is an area of interest to you. You do not need any programming experience for this.

—Do you have the gift of hospitality and making people feel welcome? If so, we could use help reaching out to members who may be new or just haven’t had the chance to get engaged or who have questions about how this all works.
Please plan to attend our Member Number Reveal Party on May 15th (more information below), as this will be the event where we announce how many members we have for 2024 and how many transformational grants we will give in November. This event is also a great place to sign up to help with the above-mentioned volunteer opportunities and to meet other members. If you can’t make the reveal but want to sign up for something, send us an email or sign-up via our website.
I’m excited for this next portion of our Impact100 year—the "secret sauce" of grant review and getting to know one another and our nonprofit applicants through membership events and site visits. This is the time of year when we make the shift from “Do you want to be a member?” to “What does your impact look like this year?” I am asking each of you to ask yourself that question. I know that each year may be different depending on what’s happening in your life. For those who have previously served on a committee, we do not assume that you would like to serve on that committee again, so please let us know if you would like to continue on that committee.

Please join us for our big Member Number Reveal Party on May 15th to see exactly how many grants we will be giving away later this year! This year’s event will be from 5:30- 7:00 at the Sky Room at the Beach House in Sandestin. Register to attend the event here!

It will be a wonderful time of celebrating that you won’t want to miss! You will also have the opportunity to sign up for Grant Review committees or standing yearlong committees at this event. Collaboratively we can work together to bless nonprofits in our area, partnering alongside them as they work tirelessly to serve our area. Stay tuned for exciting member only social events that will be held in June, August, and September; each offering a wonderful chance to mix, mingle, and have some fun with other members! |

WE NEED YOU to help us decide where our $100,000 grants will go this year by signing up to serve on a
Focus Area Committee (FAC). As you know, Impact100 Northwest Florida awards grants to nonprofits in five focus areas: |

Site visits will be in-person this year! We are so excited for everything that the site visits bring us during the review process! New this year, the Arts & Culture and Environment, Recreation & Preservation will host site visits in the evening, supporting FAC members who wish to volunteer but are unavailable during the day. The review of grant applications is the heart and soul of our mission at Impact100 of Northwest Florida. These $100,000 grants to nonprofits serving Okaloosa and Walton counties will make a huge difference in the lives of so many in our community. We need to make sure we choose wisely. We invite you to pitch in on this most crucial of responsibilities.

Pyramid, Inc. hopes Impact100 NWF members will attend as the new recreational area is dedicated to Impact100 NWF. There will be a dedication ceremony at 6:00 pm followed by a performance by the Pyramid Players. The event will also include an art show, facility tours and refreshments.
