The South Padre Island Police Department provided the following incidents from April 28th through May 4th, 2024.
4/28 - At approximately 12:29 a.m., officers were dispatched to 1500 Gulf Boulevard, Room #302, in reference to a physical disturbance. Investigation revealed that the aggressor intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly caused bodily injury to another, including the person's spouse (Assault on two family members). The male subject was subsequently arrested for assault family violence.
4/28 - At approximately 3:57 a.m., a South Padre Island Police Officer responded to the intersection of the 1400 block of Gulf Boulevard and the 100 block of East Haas Street in reference to reports of a single vehicle crash. After investigation, a 32 year old female was placed under arrest and charged with duty on striking structure, fixture, or highway landscaping.
4/28 - At approximately 3:09 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 33000 block Park Road 100, in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Upon the officer's arrival, the officer made contact with the owner of a black car, who stated that he had approximately $700.00 dollars stolen out of his wallet that was located inside his vehicle and that he wanted to file charges for burglary of a vehicle.
4/28 - At approximately 8:21 p.m., South Padre Island police officers were dispatched via radio to the 5000 block of Padre Boulevard in reference to an unwanted male subject at the business location. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female subject, who stated a male subject refused to leave the business premises. Officers then made contact with the male subject and advised him he was no longer wanted at the business premises. Officers issued a Criminal Trespass warning to the male subject and resumed patrol.
4/28 - At approximately 11:28 p.m., officers responded to a physical disturbance at the 200 block of West Pike. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female subject and a male subject. The male subject was highly intoxicated and was observed by the officers and witnesses in the area, the male subject pushing the female subject. After investigation, the male subject was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication and Assault family violence.
4/29 - An officer responded to the 200 block of W. Palm St. in reference to a past theft of service. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the manager who stated that yesterday on April 28, 2024 a male subject had left without paying his tab. No time was given for the incident reported.
5/1 - At approximately 11:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Parrot Eyes Restaurant Bar in reference to a past theft of service. A male subject ordered food, beverages, and walked out of the restaurant without paying for his bill.
5/2 - At approximately 1:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to 4001 Padre Boulevard in reference to a male subject who was attempting to get into a vehicle that wasn’t owned by him. Officers located the subject, who was intoxicated, and placed him under arrest for public intoxication.
5/3 - At approximately 2:48 a.m., the officer was patrolling the 4800 block of Gulf Boulevard and observed a male subject walking south on the sidewalk and was swaying and stumbling as he walked south. Officers made contact with the male subject who was placed under arrest for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.
5/4 - The officer responded to the 400 block of Padre boulevard in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with all parties involved. Upon further investigation the female subject was arrested for public intoxication. No time was given for the incident reported.
5/4 - At approximately 11:37 p.m., officers responded to the 5700 block of Padre Boulevard due to a multiple vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the male driver that struck multiple parked vehicles. Officers observed that the male subject showed signs of being intoxicated. After officers' investigation, they placed the male subject under arrest for driving under the influence of a minor.
