Approval of April’s minutes: Joe Bartley 1st, Dawn Parker 2nd
Treasurer’s report: Beginning balance, $7423.32, Income, $2850.01, Expenses, $438.49, Ending Balance, $9834.84. Most of our income is from our MITP sponsors. Accepted and approved.
MITP is almost here! Sponsorships are coming along. This is the last week that we can accept sponsors that wish to be on our printed material. Please email Mike Walker asap if you want to sponsor gcbavicepres@gmail.com
Membership drive - making great progress. There are about 450 registered businesses in Garden City. We are mailing out letters to all with a “thank you for doing business in GC” along with information about the GCBA with an application. We also have a current ad in the Rec Connect with Parks & Recreation.
Welcome packages are being given out by the city that includes information about the GCBA along with information from the city. Anyone that comes in for a business license will receive a packet.
Business to Business open house on Monday at Radcliff Center 11am - 3pm 1751 Radcliff
Facebook ads - right now we’re concentrating on our summer events, but as soon as the season is over we will begin posting ads again in alphabetical order.

Mike Walker - Liberty Tax also is an insurance broker for home owners, health, medicare, etc.
Jackie Perrydore - national realty centers,
Bazz Muhammad - mobile & online remote notary, Wayne/Oakland/Macomb/Washtenaw county.
Amy Smith - Mary Kay beauty consultant and influencer. She offers classes for skincare
Dino Bruce - Kroll construction, Roofing, gutters, remodels. They are doing a food drive for the HOME pantry this month.
Dawn Parker - AAUW Non profit group based in Plymouth Canton with many members in Garden City. They also raise money for scholarships for women. Their main source of income is their annual children’s play. The February 2025 will be Beauty & the Beast
Alden Porter - Small business profit architect. He offers in person appointments as well as workshops and webinars.
Natalie Thurmond - Shaklee ambassador. Shaklee has non-toxic cleaners that don’t irritate your skin or cause allergens.
Brandy Overholt - Public Service Credit Union. Promoting their CD. You can now make your water and tax payments at the credit union.
Joe Bartley - J&J Taxes & More. Taxes, bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, property management.
Sharon Hassett - Straight Farmhouse lots of events coming up - Night at the Museum for kids, Women in History is the exhibit for the summer. Check out their website for upcoming classes.
Elaine Salter - Elaine’s Gift Baskets. No charge for delivery for local funeral homes
