The South Padre Island Police Department provided the following incidents from June 3 through June 9, 2024. Reports are lightly edited for reading purposes.
6/3 - At approximately 9 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 6200 block of Padre Boulevard about a past assault report between two females. Upon arrival, one female left the area and all available information was gathered by the victim of the incident who did not wish to file charges.
6/3 - At approximately 10:07 p.m., the South Padre Island Police Officers responded to an incident at 310 Padre Boulevard about a physical disturbance. After an investigation, two females were placed under arrest and charged with Disorderly Conduct by Fighting with one another.
6/3 - Officers responded to the 500 block of Padre Boulevard about a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a male subject who was involved in the disturbance. The male subject was highly intoxicated at the time the officer made contact with him. The male subject was then placed under arrest for public intoxication. No time for the incident was given.
6/4 - At approximately 10:04 a.m., officers were dispatched to 6500 Padre Boulevard about past harassment. Upon arrival, contact was made with the reporting party and an investigation was conducted. After the investigation, a person committed an offense of Assault Class C Misdemeanor.
6/4 - At approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Padre Boulevard about a traffic crash. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle involved in the traffic accident. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
6/5 - At approximately 3:27 a.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Gulf Boulevard for a welfare concern due to a female subject passed out in a vehicle. Upon the officer’s arrival, they made contact with two female subjects and one male subject. After the officer’s investigation, they located narcotics and used meth pipes. The subjects were then placed under arrest and transported to the City Jail for booking.
6/5 - At approximately 3:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to 200 West Red Snapper Street about a theft of fishing equipment. Upon arrival, contact was made with the reporting party, and an investigation as conducted. After the investigation, a person committed an offense of Burglary of Vehicles Class A Misdemeanor.
6/6 - At approximately 10:22 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Padre Boulevard and Swordfish to assist another agency report regarding a welfare check on a male subject. Upon arrival, one male subject was found to have drug paraphernalia and placed under arrest. The male subject was transported to the city jail where he was booked accordingly.
6/6 - At approximately 4:44 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 200 block of West Atol Street about a theft report regarding multiple fishing equipment. All available information was gathered pending further investigation.
6/8 - At approximately 1:33 a.m., officers responded to the 4500 block of Padre Boulevard due to a disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, they made contact with the reporting party and she stated that a male subject grabbed her arm. She then pointed out the male subject that grabbed her arm. Officers then made contact with the male subject and placed him under arrest for public intoxication due to the female not wanting to file charges for the assault.
6/8 - At approximately 4:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to 100 East Esperanza Street about an intoxicated male subject. Upon arrival, contact was made with the reporting party and the male subject in question. An investigation was conducted, and a male subject was arrested for Public Intoxication Class C Misdemeanor.
6/9 - At approximately 1:27 a.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of Padre Boulevard about an intoxicated male subject. Upon the officer’s arrival, they made contact with the male subject who was highly intoxicated. The male subject had previously started verbal disturbance with other bystanders. the male subject was then placed under arrest for public intoxication.
6/8 - At approximately 2:04 a.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Padre Boulevard about a verbal disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, they made contact with the reporting party. The reporting party stated to the officers that two male subjects started a verbal disturbance with the reporting party. The reporting party then pointed out the male subjects to the officers. The officers then made contact with the two male subjects and observed they were highly intoxicated. After the officer’s investigation, they placed the two male subjects under arrest for public intoxication.
6/9 - At approximately 7:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Padre Boulevard about a physical disturbance between several persons. Upon arrival, an officer obtained a visual of the van matching the description leaving the area at which time a high-risk traffic stop was conducted. shortly after, two separate victims were identified and one male subject was placed under arrest for aggravated assault and one female was charged with an assault charge.
6/9 - At approximately 8:06 p.m., an officer responded to 5000 Padre Boulevard about a theft. Investigation revealed that the suspects unlawfully appropriated property without the owner's consent. The value of the property stolen is less than $100.
