The South Padre Island Police Department provided the following incidents from June 10th through June 16th, 2024. Reports are lightly edited for reading purposes.
6/10 - At approximately 10 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Padre Boulevard about a missing golf cart. On June 15, 2024, officers were informed that the missing golf cart was located.
6/10 - At approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Padre Boulevard about criminal mischief. Investigation revealed that an unknown person committed an offense when he/she intentionally or knowingly damaged or destroyed the tangible property of another.
6/10 - At approximately 8:22 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Padre Boulevard for an online credit card abuse report. Information was gathered for the incident and a report was generated.
6/11 - At approximately 8:26 p.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of Padre Boulevard about a theft. A subject stole property that did not belong to them, intending to deprive the owner of that property.
6/12 - The officer made contact with an intoxicated male subject at the 100 block of E. Link St. The officer observed a male subject stumbling while across the street, and the officer made contact with the male subject. After investigation, the male subject was placed under arrest for public intoxication. No time for the incident was given.
6/12 - At approximately 10:41 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 202 W Tarpon about a criminal mischief incident. Investigation revealed that a person intentionally or knowingly damaged or destroyed the owner's tangible property without the owner's effective consent, causing a pecuniary loss of $2,500 or more but less than $30,000. The complainant would like to file charges.
6/14 - At approximately 11 a.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of West Atol about stolen property. Officers made contact with the female complainant stating three unknown males entered her property and took fishing equipment without her consent. A report for theft was filed.
6/15 - South Padre Island Officers were dispatched via radio to the 500 block of Padre Boulevard about a group of subjects fighting in the hallway of the sixth floor. Upon arrival, officers made contact with three female subjects who had been physically assaulted by a male subject. Investigation revealed that the male subject committed the offense of Assault and family violence and was transported to city jail. No time for the incident was given.
6/15 - At approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to the 6900 block of Padre Boulevard about the burglary of a vehicle. Investigation revealed that an unknown male subject committed an offense when he broke into or entered a vehicle or any part of a vehicle with the intent to commit any felony or theft (Class A Misdemeanor).
6/15 - At approximately 9:02 p.m., South Padre Island Police Officers towed an abandoned motorcycle from the Port Isabel Causeway.
6/16 - At approximately 12:41 a.m., South Padre Island Officers were dispatched via radio about a physical disturbance at the 100 block of East Campeche Street. Upon arrival, officers observed a highly intoxicated male subject lying down on the grass area of the 3100 block of Gulf Boulevard. Officers then made contact with the male subject and confirmed the male subject was highly intoxicated. Investigation revealed that the male subject was intoxicated in a public place to the degree that the person may endanger himself or others.
6/16 - At approximately 11:48 a.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of Gulf Boulevard about criminal mischief. Officers arrived at the scene and gathered the required information for a police report.
