Greetings Dear Friends! The IWWSG ’24-’25 meeting season (our 77th year!!) will officially kick off tonight (see details below)! Your Steering has been diligently working on plans for an interesting, informative, and FUN upcoming season, and is looking forward to a great first meeting. This August, we got together to enjoy each other’s company and engage in the fastest-growing sport in America (see details below). I’m sorry if you missed it, but hopefully, we will see you at one of our upcoming meetings!
Once again, we cordially invite you, especially our Industrial leaders, to be part of our Group and take advantage of discounted meeting rates. Membership dues for the upcoming year are now due, you should have received an invoice but if you did not you can always log onto www.iwwsg.org membership page and join. We advertise our members in our newsletters and have a site on our website with membership names and details of the company for all to access and use. Check it out at https://www.iwwsg.org/member_list.php. We need and appreciate your paid memberships, attendance at meetings/events, and other support. You are helping to keep IWWSG relevant and vibrant! Thank you!!
I want to thank the Steering Committee – your behind-the-scenes commitment of time and effort in planning and carrying out our events is much appreciated. I look forward to seeing you soon! |

August 21 IWWSG Pickleball / Dinner Recap |
Unfortunately, IWWSG’s team didn’t make it to the recent Paris Olympics, but we did make it to a basic introductory pickleball session at Memorial Park in LaGrange Park on August 21. Fantastic weather and three enthusiastic instructors successfully taught us the rules, demonstrated proper form, and encouraged us as we struggled to master the game (in one hour!).
Confident in our newly developed skills and wanting to properly celebrate, we headed to nearby Posto 31 for a delicious Italian feast. We may not be Olympic caliber yet, but we believe we are on the right path! |
A very big “Thank You!” to Mike Sutter and Northern Plant Services for being the sponsor for the pickleball outing dinner! Your generosity was much appreciated by all!! |

Time for '24 - '25 Membership Dues |
Thank you to our members below who have already responded to the IWWSG invoices they recently received by submitting their ’24-’25 Membership dues. Last year was another very active year for the Group, with interesting speakers, some new dinner venues, two educational tours, another very deserving E. Ted Erickson “Distinguished Environmental Professional Award’ recipient, and an abundance of enthusiastic networking. We hope you were a participant this past year, and look forward to you joining us soon for the upcoming meeting season.
