PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I hope you are as excited as I am to find out who our 2024 Grant Finalists are later this month!  I can’t tell you who our applicants are this year, but I can tell you that we have some fabulous nonprofits applying—some newer organizations & some seasoned ones.  Each is doing great work in our community.  I hope you will plan to attend our Grant Finalist Reveal on Monday, October 28th and be one of the first to hear who our Finalists are.   The details and the registration link can be found below.

Nametags—it’s now or never!  (Actually, not never, but it will be next year before we offer this opportunity again.)  You have until October 15th to order a nametag.  See the info below on this.  All nametags will be available at the Finalist Reveal and Annual Meeting.

Are you interested in serving on the 2025 Board of Directors?  If so, I would like to talk with you about the opportunities.  As board members, we often hear great ideas from members---ideas we would love to implement!  However, all those great ideas take people who are willing to help us bring those ideas to life. Please reach out if you’re interested in board service.  We have spots for you and can work you in where your interests lie. If you are not quite ready for board service, but want to get more involved; please reach out to me.

You will be receiving a postcard in the coming weeks about Annual Meeting.  If your address has changed, please update that in MMS.  If you do not know how to do that, simply reply to this email and we will get you taken care of.   This is a business meeting, but it will also be a celebration as we award a half a million dollars in grants this year!!  We will award one grant in each of our five (5) categories.  You will also be able to renew your commitment to Impact100 NWF by paying your 2025 membership donation at the Annual Meeting so bring your checkbooks.  Let’s keep this going!!!

On a personal note, I would like to end by saying “Thank You” to the entire group of ladies who have made the process of Grant Review possible.  Our Focus Area Chairs are given a big responsibility; these ladies have been working hard for a few months now.  Our Grant Committee members have been working hard since January, and their work continues until early December.  I am so thankful for their hard work, diligence and ability to pivot because of closures due to Helene.  For all those ladies who are serving as FAC members evaluating grants, attending site visits and helping select our finalists—I see you!  We couldn’t do it without our members.  Thank You!

GRANT FINALIST REVEAL...DRUM ROLL PLEASE

We invite you to attend and be one of the first to find out who our Focus Area Committee Finalists are for 2024. Whether you've served on a Focus Area Committee this year or not, this is a special event as it is the one time prior to voting at the annual meeting that you'll be able to connect with our Finalists.

We request that members make an effort to carpool if they can, as parking may fill up quickly.  Doors will not open until 5:15 pm to allow our committee to put the finishing touches on the venue, get our finalists in and settled, and to keep the secret.  We appreciate your understanding.

ITS ALMOST TIME!  ...THE 2024 IMPACT100 NWF ANNUAL MEETING

Please join us for the 2024 Impact100 NWF Annual Meeting!

There is no more important event than this one, as we will be determining which five (5) organizations will receive a 2024 Impact100 NWF grant.  Come hear our Finalists' presentations and vote for the one finalist in each category that you feel is best equipped to utilize a $100,000 grant and whose project you are most passionate about.

We will have a handful of donated silent auction items, a 50/50 cash drawing (the winner receives 1/2 of the cash collected) and, new this year, a wine pull. All of these fundraisers offset the cost of this once-a-year big event. Remember to bring your cash!

Also, we will have a Visa gift card drawing for all members who renew their membership for 2025 at the Annual Meeting.  Have your check made out and bring it with you to save on paying the credit card fee.

This year, we are excited to use a lovely, new venue in Walton County: The Chapel of 30A. If you're coming from Okaloosa County, this is a great opportunity to carpool with friends.

Hope to see you there!
