President's report - August MITP was outstanding! The vendor traffic was great, the contest created a lot of traffic with our vendors. We did a recap of MITP and this year we made $7401.00 income, $3875.89 expenses. We would love any feedback on how we can improve MITP going forward, but we all think this year was a great success.

Ongoing business. Several grand openings in August: Veras Bridal on Ford Road & Middlebelt, Malu Cat Cafe has done a beautiful job renovating that store front, also at Ford & Middlebelt. They have about 15 cats including cats for adoption. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter *

Crawford Bone & Joint, Ford Road west of Merriman. They moved to GC from Wayne. 2 new businesses we noticed have opened, but we were not informed of any grand openings - Detroit Country Clothing at Ford & Farmington, and a Yarn shop on Middlebelt north of Ford Road next to the bike shop.

October event, it’s the 10th anniversary of the GCBA!  Radcliffe Center, 1751 Radcliffe, October 16, 6:00-8:00 pm. Vendors are welcome. Invitations are being sent out via email. We will have door prizes, vendors, cake, beverages. The invitation is going out to all city officials and business owners, with personal invites going out to all prior board members.

There will be no regular Friday meeting in October.

GC Community Coalition is attempting to restore the Trunk or Treat. They need a commitment of 30 trunks to move forward. They currently have about 20.The event will be on October 24 at the Radcliff Center. Ticket sales will be capped at 1000. He would like to finalize the list Monday September 16. Email Zach at zachary@gardencitycc.org.
