This issue is a different format, because I am using our website "Newsletter Template.'  This brand new template enables our website to  immediately email the newsletter to our active members and to automatically lodge it onto our Newsletter webpage.  We have had difficulties uploading the 2024 issues (TBD). So for now you will only see those in the AAFSPHV Member Center under 'Publications'  from 2025 and 2015-2023.

I admit that I had to take a few hours to learn how the template operates.  Of course, it is different from every other newsletter template that I know.  But now that I am on it, I really like it, and I am so happy it solved the Newsletter upload problem we had.

EDITORIAL

Several years ago, when membership numbers were declining in two veterinary associations,

they made the bold decision

to combine into one organization, yet made certain they would

retain both AVMA Delegates.

This kind of innovative thinking is

also  needed in current times,

when we again are experiencing fluctuations in our membership numbers.  Most assuredly,

this out-of-the-box-thinking

is what will keep us relevant and sustainable as an organization.

Take a look now, and read about this event in detail, and remember it

has set a precedent of how

we can evolve and grow stronger:

"The American Association of Food Safety and Public Health Veterinarians was formed in 2016 following the merger of our two parent organizations, The American Association of Food Safety Veterinarians (AAFSV) and the American Association of Public Health Veterinarians (AAPHV).

The leadership of the two organizations decided that the efficiencies and synergies of a combined organization would serve the full spectrum of operations of all public health veterinarians."
