Message From The President:
This newsletter is packed with information so please find a few minutes to read it over so that you don't miss a thing!
If you signed up to serve as a Focus Area Committee Member this year, you should have received an email with details about next steps, to include signing the Conflict of Interest/Disclosure Agreement (CDA) and the FAC Training registration. If you cannot find this email, please reach out to grants@impactnwf.org.
Our August Membership Social is happening on Tuesday, August 19th. The details and a registration link can be found below. Remember, we are collecting specific food donations for families that struggle with food insecurity. As you are grocery shopping, please consider picking up some of the items listed and bring them along with you to the event.
Our September Membership Social will be held at Mezcal Mexican Grill in Miramar Beach on Wednesday, September 10th so mark your calendar. This will be strictly a member social with no speaker planned for that evening. Focus Area Committees will be in full swing at that time so this is a chance to just hang out and visit with your Impact friends.
Wine Donations Needed! We will be collecting donations from our members for our Wine Pull Fundraiser which will take place at our Annual Meeting on November 9th. If you are able to contribute towards this fun event, please bring a bottle of wine (or two!) to our upcoming socials in August or September, with a minimum value of $20- $25. You may also donate financially towards this if you prefer; contact Georgia Henderson at 850-496-5837.
The Impact100 Global Conference Registration is still open, but the Early Bird price ends on August 15th. I hope that you will consider attending as there will never be a more affordable opportunity to do so given that the event is being held in our backyard! Women are traveling from as far away as Australia to attend this event. Even if you are not able to attend the entire conference, but want to help we can certainly use you. Volunteers will be needed to help pack swag bags, to help with registration on Sunday afternoon, to serve as "way finders" throughout the event to help attendees locate session rooms, etc.. Volunteers will be a mixture of attendees and non-attendees but all are welcome to help pull this event off. If this is of interest to you and/or you'd just like to ask some specific questions, you are welcome to email me at impactnwf@impactnwf.org. I'd be happy to help.
As you can see, lots happening as we kick off grant review season. It's not too late if you still want to "plug in" to something this year. Please let me know if you need help plugging in somewhere or if you have any questions!
