Impact100 Mobile Celebrates Record-Breaking Giving at Annual Meeting A Night of Celebration and Community Impact
Impact100 Mobile members and guests gathered at the Innovation Portal on November 9, 2025, for the organization’s Annual Celebration and Grants Award Event, marking a historic milestone in local philanthropy. For the first time in its history, Impact100 Mobile awarded two transformative grants of $75,000 each, doubling its reach and deepening its commitment to improving lives across Mobile County.
Kelley Dunaway, Impact100 Mobile member, shared her excitement about this year’s milestone, saying, “It is so incredible that we did not have to limit our vote to just one recipient. It made such an impact on me, that we not only bless one non-profit this year, but we get to bless two.”
Grant One: Prichard Preparatory School — Enhancing Campus Safety
The first $75,000 grant was presented to Prichard Preparatory School, an independent elementary school serving students in a high-crime area. The school has faced multiple lockdowns in recent years, underscoring the urgent need for stronger safety measures. With the support of Impact100 Mobile, Prichard Prep will implement a comprehensive campus security project that includes:
Installation of new security cameras across the property Repair and reinforcement of the perimeter fence Implementation of staff badge scanners to better control building access
These improvements will help ensure a safer learning environment, offering peace of mind to students, parents, and educators alike.
Grant Two: Feeding the Gulf Coast — Expanding Food Bank Infrastructure
The second $75,000 grant was awarded to Feeding the Gulf Coast to support a critical infrastructure expansion of its food bank facility in Theodore, Alabama. The organization’s application highlighted the growing challenge of food insecurity in Mobile County, where rates have reached a five-year high.
Originally built in 2000, the food bank’s warehouse is no longer equipped to meet current demands. Between 2020 and 2024, Feeding the Gulf Coast nearly doubled its annual food output, distributing a record 42 million pounds of food in 2024. This unprecedented growth has exceeded the facility’s storage and operational capacity.
The grant will help fund necessary upgrades to the warehouse, enabling the organization to continue meeting the expanding needs of families and individuals facing hunger across the region.

| Reflections from the 2025 Impact100 Global Conference From October 26–28, 2025, the sparkling shores of Miramar Beach, Florida, set the stage for the Tides of Impact100: Renew, Recharge, and Rise Global Conference. This year’s event brought together hundreds of Impact100 members from across the world for three energizing days dedicated to learning, collaboration, and inspiration.
Representing Impact100 Mobile, host chapter members Lyndsey Dixon, Shana Jordan, and Rena Davis joined fellow leaders to exchange ideas and celebrate the collective power of women transforming communities through philanthropy.
The conference offered a dynamic mix of programming designed to spark fresh thinking and strengthen chapter impact. Attendees were treated to six thought-provoking keynote speakers, each sharing insights on leadership, innovation, and the evolving landscape of giving. In addition, 20 breakout sessions provided practical tools and strategies across a wide range of topics—recruitment and retention best practices, grantmaking, technology tools, marketing and social media, board development, and leadership mindset and self-care.
Beyond the sessions, the event fostered meaningful opportunities for networking and connection. Chapter leaders shared success stories, discussed challenges, and discovered new ways to collaborate across regions and initiatives. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as participants left feeling renewed, recharged, and ready to rise to new heights in their communities. For those who couldn’t attend—or for anyone wishing to relive the inspiration—you can view the video recap of the 2025 Impact100 Global Conference here: 2025 Global Conference.
As Impact100 continues to grow and evolve, gatherings like this remind us of the strength of our collective purpose: women coming together to make a lasting difference. Here’s to the tide of impact that keeps rising! |

| Qualified Charitable Contributions
With year-end approaching, we just wanted to remind members about the use of QCD. Are you 70 ½ years or older and want to save on your taxes?
Consider a Qualified Charitable Distribution! If you’re 70 ½ years old, you can donate your membership dues directly from your IRA to Impact100Mobile through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) without the donation being considered taxable income. A QCD counts toward your Required Minimum Distribution while reducing your taxable income, which may be particularly beneficial to those who do not itemize deductions. This is not intended to be tax or financial advice. Consult your tax advisor and/or financial planner/financial advisor for questions and how to take advantage of this benefit.
