IMPACT100 NORTHWEST FLORIDA NEWSLETTER | SEPTEMBER 2026

Alternate text

Ladies of Impact100 NWF,

I hope this message reaches you in the cool comfort of air-conditioning, as perhaps you sip a glass of cold iced tea … don’t know about you, but I am ready for fall! And hopefully it’s just around the corner as we move into another new month together.

September is an exciting month for Impact100 of Northwest Florida as we see the heartbeat of our organization come to life through our grant review process.

This month, our Grant Committee and the five Focus Area Committees will take a critical next step as they conduct site visits with our nonprofit grant applicants. These visits are one of the most meaningful parts of our process—an opportunity to see firsthand the incredible work happening throughout our community, to ask thoughtful questions, and to better understand the needs and opportunities facing our neighbors.

I am especially grateful to our committee chairs and members who are giving their time, energy, and careful consideration to this process. The dedication of our members is what makes Impact100 NWF so special. Every conversation, every site visit, and every thoughtful decision brings us closer to awarding transformational grants that will create meaningful and lasting change in Northwest Florida.

September also gives us a chance to reconnect with one another! Our first Member Social is just a couple of weeks away, and I hope you’ll join us. Those details are listed below. Beyond the grants we award, the friendships, connections and shared sense of purpose among our members are an important part of who we are.

As we move into this exciting season, I am reminded that our impact is possible because of the collective power of women coming together with a shared commitment to our community. Together, we are making a lasting impact—and I am so proud of what we are accomplishing.

Thank you for being part of Impact100 of Northwest Florida and for continuing to put your passion into action.

– With gratitude,

Mary Tinsley

What’s Happening With Grants Committee This September

Now that the applications are through Financial Review (where not all of our applicants move forward we are sorry to say), we move into the next phase of the Grant Process – Site Visits! All of our Site Visits will occur during the busy month of September.

This is really where the heavy lifting by our volunteers occurs, when they go out to do each site visit to see how impactful the proposed projects are and to whittle them down to a much smaller list of finalists that all of our members get to vote on. Countless hours (not to mention miles put on the car) will be spent looking at all of the applications that have made it to this point.

So, if you know anyone serving on one of our Focus Area Committees, tell them thank you for their hard work in evaluating these applications! It’s a tough job!

And don’t forget to mark your calendar for the Grant Finalist Reveal party on October 19 – we hope to see you there!
