August GMM - What you missed!

The August GMM was held at Nola Bistro on August 20th. Attendees enjoyed delicious pho and banh mi, as well as a great informational presentation from EVE (end violent encounters), our local domestic violence/sexual assault agency. EVE operates a shelter for women and children, provides counseling services, runs a 24/7 crisis line, provides sexual assault services, and staffs a PPO office, among other advocacy efforts. EVE has a fun beer and wine tasting event coming up on September 5th and we encourage members to attend and support this great organization! 

Save the date for Kindness Rally!

On  September 21st, JCI Lansing and community members will participate in the Kindness Rally - a random acts of kindness road rally! Teams of 4-5 people will be provided with a list of kindness “challenges” that involve helping others and bettering the community. It's going to be a fun day and a great and simple way to brighten someone's day. Check out event details on Facebook.

As the kids head back to school and busy summer schedules fade, we invite you to get more involved with the chapter! We would love to see our calendar fill up with social outings, get your learn/food on events, volunteer opportunities, and whatever else you may have in mind! If you have questions, are worried about promoting an event, or want support in planning, please reach out to the Board! We are happy to help!
