What’s happening:
City Council posted an agenda for November 4, 2020, to discuss banning canopies on the beach.

Why it matters:

  • Most residents and property owners own canopies rather than single pole umbrellas.
  • It’s winter season when beach use is at a minimum.
  • There are suspicions that this order could be designed to favor vendors over residents.

Whats next:
If this issue is important to you, attend the City Council meeting November 4, 2020, at 5:30 p.m.
