This session described the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk® Program, which provides parent-implemented language intervention to families of young children with language disorders. This manualized program adheres to principles of adult education and focuses on building parents’ capacity to facilitate their child’s language development by using evidence-based strategies within everyday interactions.
Presented by Dashiel Brockman, M.Sc., S-LP(C), Reg. CASLPO, is a speech-language pathologist at The Hanen Centre who is passionate about supporting families and their young children’s communication development. He leads It Takes Two to Talk® Programs for parents and is involved in the development of the It Takes Two to Talk® Program resources. Dashiel regularly presents on the effectiveness of parent-implemented intervention and the Hanen approach to university students.
