By Erik Pearson 1995

6 Soprano, 6 Alto, 6 Tenor, 5 Bass, 1 Great Bass

Creeping Dawn: Mountain and Shadow is a piece for 24 piece recorder orchestra originally composed for the Washington Recorder Society. It has had several performances since its debut in 1995 by the WRS.

Here is a description from a California performance by AROW:
"Creeping Dawn: Mountain & Shadow is a sonic depiction of the transition between night and day. Tectonic plates of dark and light collide as day returns. The small point of the the sun slowly illuminates all forms and shapes of the physical world, casting changing shadows from all things, shadows which chart the course of time's deliberate movement with their shrinking into day."
