In late October, MMBA and CPAN co-hosted a seminar titled: What Every Medical Biller and Financial Officer Should Know About the Amended Michigan No-Fault Insurance Act. Attendees felt the information shared was extremely valuable and suggested we offer regular updates which include an exchange of information and Q & A segment. The first of these sessions is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 16 from 2 - 4:00 P.M. Panelists include: Connie Demeulenaere, President MMBA; Jill Young, Young Medical Consulting; Katie Tucker and Steve Sinas, members CPAN General Counsel team; Dick Hillary, Miller Johnson Law Firm; and Rebecca Whitfield, Account Manager Red House Medical Billing. The event will include breakout sessions for the following provider groups:
Provider Group I: Larger-scale providers who render treatment that is generally reimbursable under Medicare.
Provider Group II: Smaller-scale providers who render treatment, including, but not limited to, in-home attendant or nursing care or therapy, that is generally not reimbursable by Medicare.
Provider Group III: Including but not limited to, physician offices who render treatment including office services (Evaluations and Management [E&M], X-rays, & Procedures, outpatient and inpatient services (E & M & Surgical).
The cost for first time attendees is $50. If you paid and attended the session held on October 21, this follow-up session is offered at no cost to you.
