Join us on Tuesday, June 25th 12-1:45 PM PT--Event is CME and CPE eligible for people who attend the live event only.

Join the Foundation for Health Care Quality and the Bree Collaborative on Tuesday, June 25th from 12-1:45 PM PT to engage in a learning lab on food insecurity! 


Event Description: While Washington is well known in part for its agricultural industry, many communities across the state need help accessing nutritious food. This session will begin with an overview of the current state of food insecurity in Washington. Then, we will hear from panelists representing the Washington State Department of Agriculture, DSHS, DOH, and a community group to discuss strategies they are implementing to combat food insecurity and how we can foster collective change to achieve equitable access to nutritious food for Washingtonians.After the panelist presentation, there will be time for question and answer, followed by dedicated time to connect and discuss with peers to share your experience, hear from others, and discuss the next steps with peers across the healthcare ecosystem.

  • Adele Eslinger, Program Coordinator, United General District 304,Skagit Fruit and vegetable Prescription Program
Audience: Individuals who would like to learn more about food insecurity in Washington state and how our healthcare ecosystem can support people experiencing food insecurity. within our healthcare ecosystem who may interact with people expressing food insecurity. Such as but not limited to clinicians, health care professionals, staff at clinics or hospitals, health plans, employers, public health professionals, government agencies and community organizations.

Cost: No Fees to attend or to attain CME or CPE credits. 

Continuing Education Credits Information:Individuals must attend the live event to attend to receive CME or CPE credit. Individuals who watch the recording will not be eligible for the CME or CPE credit.

CME
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) and the Foundation for Healthcare Quality. The WSMA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 
  
The WSMA designates this live activity for 1.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CPE
After completion of this activity, the pharmacist/pharmacy technician will be able to: 
  • Identify how a Bree to FHCQ guideline can be implemented into practice
  • Recognize how social driver(s) of health can impact a person’s overall health status
  • Plan strategies to center health equity into quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with peers working throughout the healthcare ecosystem who are in attendance

Earn CE Credit for Webinar: To receive credit, you must listen to the full session, obtain the secret code and complete the evaluation with the secret code via a SurveyMonkey link that will be provided to you on the day of the event. You must complete the evaluation and include your NABP e-profile ID and birth date MMDD be received by the WSPA in order for you to receive credit. The Washington State Pharmacy Association only has 60 days from the date of the activity to upload the CPE information to the CPE Monitor. WSPA will upload the CE within five weeks after the event. It will be your responsibility to check the CPE Monitor before the 60 days to make sure the CE is uploaded in your profile. If there are any problems, you will need to contact WSPA 425-228-7171. CE cannot be uploaded after the 60 days from the date of the event.
