Craig Kelman & Associates have been the publishing company for MWEA's Matters magazine since 2005. In acknowledgment and appreciation of the support of the members of WEF and MWEA for Matters magazine they wish to give back to that membership by providing financial assistance to the relative of one of those members.
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Be a relative of a WEF or MWEA member still working in the profession
- Plan on attending a school of higher education or training
- Have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Submit an essay of a minimum of 1,000 words on the value and importance of water resource recovery (waste water treatment), watershed management or groundwater protection (including excerpts from an interview with a person who works in the profession) as it applies to any of the following:
- Public health
- Ecosystem protection
- Quality of life in our society or anywhere in the world
- Economic impact
