We welcome articles that align with MWEA’s mission of providing leadership, championing innovation, and connecting water professionals to support clean and safe water. Please follow these parameters when preparing your submission:

1. Content Focus

Articles should address topics relevant to Michigan’s water environment and align with MWEA's objectives.
Potential topics include innovations in water treatment, case studies, regulatory updates, sustainability practices, professional development, and community engagement.
Avoid promotional content or advertisements.

2. Length and Format

Articles should be 300-500 words.
Submit articles as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx).
Include a clear, engaging title and subheadings for readability.

3. Author Information

Provide the author’s name, job title, organization, and a short bio (2–3 sentences).

4. References

Ensure that all data and claims are accurate and verifiable.

5. Images and Graphics

Include high-resolution images or graphics (300 dpi) relevant to your article.
Provide captions and credits for all visuals.
Submit images as separate files (JPEG or PNG), not embedded in the Word document.

6. Review and Editing

All submissions are subject to review by the editorial team for relevance, accuracy, and clarity.
MWEA reserves the right to edit articles for length, tone, and consistency.

7. Deadlines

Articles must be submitted by the deadlines to be considered for the upcoming issue.
- Spring: February 7, 2025
- Summer: June 27, 2025
- Fall: September 5, 2025
- Winter: October 31, 2025
