Tobi Martin, M. Phil., M.Sc. R. Psych, Lead, Psychosocial Response Team, Alberta Health Services   

 

      

BIO - Tobi Martin has been working with colleagues to develop a coordinated psychosocial response for emergency and disaster situations within the Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone. Tobi is a Registered Psychologist who began her career working with adolescents and their families in the non-profit sector. She joined Alberta Health Services in 2011 where she works with the Mobile Response Team, a multi-disciplinary mental health crisis team. The team focuses on crisis intervention and assessment while also providing debriefings for individuals or groups impacted by traumatic events. Through the Mobile Response Team, Tobi responded in the community and to reception centres during the Southern Alberta Floods. She also assisted during the Fort McMurray Wildfires by working in Calgary reception centres, and was deployed several times as a Team Lead to assist with the AHS psychosocial response for the community and first responders in Fort McMurray. Since this time, Tobi has been working on developing the Calgary Zone Psychosocial Response Team (PRT) for Alberta Health Services. Tobi has coordinated the PRT response during the COVID-19 pandemic which includes PRT Members facilitating workshops and providing individual support to health care workers.
