The 96th MWEA Annual Conference will be a HYBRID event with options for IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL Attendance.

Conference at a Glance


About the conference:  The conference begins on Sunday, June 27 with a Welcome Reception (new location: outside the Mountain Grand Lodge on the lawn). If you arrive Saturday or early on Sunday morning, you may want to participate in the Annual Golf Outing or the Water For People Canoe Trip, both of which take place before the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening. 

The conference continues from Monday through Wednesday with Technical Sessions.  

Exhibits will be open Monday night as well as social activities scheduled each day.

A FREE Conference App will be available to all attendees. It will include the conference schedule, technical sessions, exhibit night map and more!  Download information will be available closer to the conference date.

Cost to Attend:  Your conference registration does NOT include your hotel room or meals. The registration cost will vary depending on if you attend the full conference, one-day only, if you are a member or non-member, etc.

    • Early-Bird discount (until 4/30): $350

  • Non-Member Rate
    • Early-Bird discount (until 4/30): $440

  • Student / Retiree Rate: $115
  • Speaker Rate
    • Speaker Day ONLY: $0
    • Full Conference: $270
  • One Day Rate (VIRTUAL ONLY): $245
First Time Attendee & Referral Discount: First time attendees receive $40 off a full conference registration (discount code FIRST). Refer a first time attendee and receive a $10 discount on your own registration (discount code REFER). 

Hotel Room Reservation:  A room block has been reserved at Boyne Mountain Resort with a variety of room options.  See the lodging tab for more info. The deadline for reservations in the MWEA Room Block is May 27th, 2021.

Awards Ceremonies:
The Awards Luncheon will be held at 12:00 PM on June 29th, 2021. The in-person ceremony will be held in a tent behind the Civic Center and will be recorded. Virtual participants can view the recording starting Wednesday, July 7th.

The Leadership Celebration will be held at 7:00 PM on June 29th, 2021. The in-person ceremony will be held in the Civic Center and will be recorded. Virtual participants can view the recording starting Monday, July 5th.

GUESTS
We are excited to be able to open up guest registration for the following events: 
• Paddle with Purpose, Sunday, June 27th
• Welcome Reception, Sunday, June 27th
• Exhibit Night, Monday, June 28th
• Awards Luncheon, Tuesday, June 29th (one guest per award winner)
• Leadership Celebration, Tuesday, June 29th (one guest per award winner)
Guests MUST register in advance to attend. The deadline for Guest Registration is Wednesday, June 23rd at close of business. *Walk-ins for meals and events cannot be guaranteed.

MEALS
Attendees: If you are staying in the MWEA Room Block, Meals are included with your room rate. If you are staying OUTSIDE the MWEA Room Block, you may add meals to your registration. Please contact the MWEA Office to purchase meals.** 

Guests: If you are staying OUTSIDE the MWEA Room Block or registered for Single Occupancy with a room inside the MWEA Room Block, you may purchase meals with your registration.**

Meals Available: Breakfast ($25), Lunch ($23), & Dinner ($39) beginning with Dinner on Sunday, June 27th and ending with Lunch on Wednesday, June 30th.
    Meals MUST be purchased in advance. The deadline to purchase additional meals is Wednesday, June 23rd at close of business. *Walk-ins for meals and events cannot be guaranteed.
