Town of Morrison Utilities Department is seeking a Plant Operator. Plant Operators ensure reliable, clean, and safe drinking water to the Town of Morrison’s residents by operating a variety of equipment to maintain our water network. This is an opportunity to learn all aspects of the water and wastewater industry in a consistent and in-demand career field. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
•Maintenance and repair of Utility Department infrastructure.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Distribution Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and highly skilled tasks related to the construction, inspection, operation and maintenance of the distribution system. This class of employees ensures that residents have adequate supplies of safe and clean water that meets or exceeds state, federal, and District regulations, policies, and standards. The Distribution Technician performs other tasks as required. This is a non-exempt position.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
The Distribution Technician works under the direct supervision of the Distribution Manager, or higher-level Distribution Technician as assigned. A higher-level employee in this class may be assigned to provide general supervision to the Distribution Technician. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Perform construction, repair and maintenance of the distribution system.
• Utilize mapping, as-builts, and electronic equipment to accurately locate District water mains.
• Make rounds of remote site facilities such as storage tanks and pumping stations.
• Collect water samples and perform basic laboratory tests related to water quality; document results and take appropriate actions.
• Adjust pumps, flow valves, PRV's and system chemical feed systems.
• Perform customer service duties in the field as necessary, including service turn-ons and shut offs and hanging door hangers related to service interruptions and delinquent accounts.
• Drain and inspect distribution structures, clean tanks, screens, filters, pipes, pumps, etc.
• Install service lines, meters and related appurtenances; perform varied facility maintenance work as required; perform a variety of heavy physical work in the installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution and other underground lines.
• As assigned, participate in organizational meetings; address and respond to service questions, inquiries and complaints; provide information to customers or refer to others as appropriate; maintain good public relations; notify customers as required.
• Operate District vehicles; inspect and fuel vehicles and perform minor maintenance; order parts and supplies as necessary.

• Assist Triview Metropolitan District Treatment Operators during emergencies or as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Work is performed inside and outside both day and night, under varied and extreme weather conditions, confined space underground and frequent driving. Work may include working weekends and overtime. The Town of Crawford is accepting applications for Public Works Director. This position is responsible for the maintenance and operations of the Town’s water and wastewater system, as well as ensuring compliance with the State of Colorado’s water quality rules and regulations. The Public Works Director is also responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the Town’s Streets, Parks, Buildings, and vehicles.
The successful applicant will be motivated, conscientious, and be comfortable working independently while communicating and working with the Town Clerk and reporting to the Town Mayor and Board of Trustees. In order to promote a smooth transition for the new Public Works Director; the selected applicant will work with the current Director for several months to familiarize themselves with the varied aspects of the Town’s systems that they will be operating and managing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential
• Perform project management work by initiating, managing, coordinating and directing projects, programs, and capital projects for the Town and Facilities department. Oversee the preparation of RFPs, RFQs, CIPs and other pre-bid materials, project construction documents, construction specifications, cost estimates, bid documents, bid invitations, contract selection procedures, and contract award.
• Consult with management in order to develop project plans and goals, scope of work, schedules, and project work plans including time frames, funding limitations, contract costs, risk factors, and allocation of available resources.

Environmental Factors:
This position requires work both indoors and outdoors, split roughly 50/50. Outdoor work is conducted on active construction sites and within industrial facilities, exposing the incumbent to varying weather conditions, uneven terrain, potential traffic hazards, and occasional exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, and gases. Additionally, the role necessitates occasional entry into confined spaces for short durations and regular local travel, with out-of-town travel for training and meetings one to two times per month.
Physical Factors:
This position will spend significant portions of the day sitting and standing, with approximately two hours of walking required per day. The role involves repetitive motion tasks, such as typing and using office equipment, for up to four or more hours daily. Climbing ladders and stairs at facilities and within storage tanks is required, and the position involves working at heights up to 50 feet on roofs and storage tanks. Grasping and lifting objects, including field equipment up to 40 pounds is necessary, as is occasional bending, kneeling, and stooping. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Distribution Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and highly skilled tasks
in all phases of the construction, inspection, operation, maintenance, utility locating, metering, and customer service-oriented work related to the water distribution facilities. This class of employees ensures that residents have adequate supplies of safe and clean water meeting or exceeding state, federal, and
District regulations, policies, and standards. Performs various additional related work as required. This is a non-exempt position.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
The Distribution Technician works under the direct supervision of the Distribution Supervisor, or higher-level Distribution Technician as assigned, and under the general supervision of the Distribution Manager. A higher level employee in this class may be assigned to provide general supervision to a staff of Distribution Technicians and other personnel as directed.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform general Distribution Technician duties.+

POSITION SUMMARY AND DEFINITION:
Operating, monitoring and maintaining the Milliken Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities. Includes work involving operation and maintenance of water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, pumping stations and wells servicing the Town of Milliken treatment facilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates, inspects, repairs and maintains a wide variety of pumps, motors, chemical feed equipment and other related equipment used in water and wastewater treatment.

• Control flows and adjust treatment processes to ensure that the facility achieves compliance with applicable environmental permits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities)
