The Link newsletter is a publication of ITBE (Illinois Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages & Bilingual Education), a non-profit professional organization, founded in 1970, which disseminates information, provides a forum, and serves as an advocate for students, educators, and administrators in the field. Illinois TESOL- BE is an affiliate of TESOL, an international organization. All our articles come from professionals in the field, typically from our membership. We encourage article submissions from our entire membership from all levels of experience and areas of expertise.

Please note that the Link is purely in electronic format, and, therefore, formatting is somewhat restricted in width and a single page. For instance, if you use footnotes, they will be at the bottom of the article.
Authors will receive notification that your submission has been received within one week. The review of all articles will take place within one to two weeks after the close of the call for submissions. The editor and two to three reviewers will decide whether or not the article is appropriate for inclusion in the issue. Authors will be notified by email of the status of their article.
The editors reserve the right to modify any material selected for publication to fit the available space, or to improve on clarity and style. Authors will be consulted prior to publication if changes are deemed by the editors to be substantial. Authors may be given the opportunity to revise their articles if significant changes or refocusing are required. However, authors will not be able to make changes to their manuscript after submission. Articles may be held for upcoming issues. No press releases, please.
