The Suite consists of 4 pieces of different characters. Some are essentially legato, some require the performer to determine articulation. The tempo marks and words give the performer a starting point. The four pieces are:
Hauntingly
Limping
Spritely
Dancing
-- Suzanne M. Angevine
Four easy movements for soprano (or tenor) solo. These beautiful melodies are well within the reach of new and emerging players, with no high notes or challenging technical complications. All the movements have a vaguely Irish flavor to them, and would be very suitable as an easy solo between numbers in a Celtic program. More advanced players can explore ornamentation possibilities, or expand each movement with more repeats for a dance set. These also sound very nice on an alto or bass reading C fingerings, for variety.
