The music, seemingly for boys voices, fits on low recorders. It is best on three tenors and a bass. There is an all important C# on the last note of the third voice that may be played on a bass if necessary, but the part overall sounds better on a tenor. Recorder players should note that the piece is to be played at pitch and that the bass part is written in treble clef. A smooth vocal style with portato tonguing should be used in the performance of the motet, with the addition of a few slurs indicated.
