THE OHIO SUICIDE PREVENTION FOUNDATION (OSPF)invites you to this 1-day role-play workshop designed to train mental and behavioral health providers in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS)!
WORKSHOP COMPONENTS:
The Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality (CAMS) Training is an evidence-based treatment framework used to assess suicidality and specifically treat suicide risk. CAMS 3-part training provides mental & behavioral health providers with essential knowledge in using the CAMS framework to collaborate with patients in the treatment of their suicidal drivers. To become CAMS-Trained, the CAMS 3-part training includes:
A three-hour, self-paced online course: This course features a series of videos which provide an overview of the CAMS model. Completion of the online course is required prior to attending the in-person, role-play workshop.
An in-person, one-day workshop: An experienced CAMS Consultant will train participants in using the CAMS framework through role-play where participants take turns acting as both counselors and patients.
Group Consultation Calls: Following the workshop, group phone calls will be held for 8 weeks, providing opportunity to discuss successes and challenges as participants implement the CAMS model. You must attend a mimium of 4 of these calls to receive the designation of CAMS-Trained.
OhioMHAS has been approved to provide 10.0 CPEs to Ohio Social Workers and Counselors. 10.0 MCEs will be awarded to licensed Ohio Psychologists.
REGISTRATION FEE: $30.00 (Training is provided by a generous contribution form SAMHSA, the $30.00 fee is to cover administrative cost, including but not limited to food & beverage)
Registration includes, beverages, lunch and CEU's, if required.
