The Drug Testing Standards and Practices Committee will meet at the request of the Louisiana Racing Commission to consider  information that had been presented to the Commission as part of their desire to assess current medication policies.    The ARCI Model Rules Process is a dynamic effort and any regulatory Member or industry constituent organization can request a review of current recommended regulatory policies.     

There is currently no active pending proposal to modify any of the recommended medication and anti-doping rules contained in the Model Rules.  This committee meeting is informational only to assess any new developments and research that may be germain to the organization's ongoing desire to recommend regulatory policies that are in the best health interest of the horse as well as the integrity of the contests being offered to the public.   

The meeting will be conducted online and pre-registration is required.    There is no charge for regulatory members of the ARCI, Associate Members, and the press.   Non-Members may be asked to pay a modest registration fee to help defray the cost of conducting the meeting.
