Speaker: Jo Puntil-Sheltman, MS, CCC-SLP, BRS-S, is a Board Recognized Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. She has specialized in the management of dysphagia disorders for the past 32 years in acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing and ventilator dependent facilities. Mrs. Puntil-Sheltman has authored several textbook chapters and clinically based reference tools including the Anatomicalendar, Follow the Swallow and recently “Dysphagia Management” with Michael Groher and Michael Crary. She has extensive experience in developing Interdisciplinary dysphagia programs throughout southern California and currently in Southern Utah. Mrs. Puntil-Sheltman has lectured nationally for the past 28 years providing a more medically based understanding of the dypshagic patient. She has numerous honors for her outstanding clinical work in medical settings and her teachings to colleagues and students.
